留学生可选择我院的汉语国际教育专业和区域经济学专业，也可以选择到云南师范大学的其他学院攻读其他专业研究生学位。

Foreign students can study for the master degree of Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages or the Master of Economics in the School of International Chinese Studies, and also can study for other master or doctor degrees in other schools of Yunnan Normal University.

Master of Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages is a professional degree which is related to the occupation of International Chinese language teachers. The speciality (Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages) is dedicated to educate students to be professional Chinese teachers who understand China, especially Chinese culture and have experienced skill of teaching Chinese language and culture, carrying out intercultural communication and completing Chinese teaching task..

学制2学年（4学期）

Educational System

Two academic years/Four Semesters

Students should study main courses on campus at the first academic year.

After one-year training, students should finish three or six months’ internship in their home countries, meanwhile they should start to write their graduationtheses.

At the last semester, students should be back Yunnan Normal University to finish the rest courses, hand in graduationtheses, internship reports and be ready for graduationthesis defense.

Academic degrees will officially given after commencement if students pass their graduation thesis defense at the last semester.

Students will not get the master degree until they get 38 credits.

区域经济学

Regional Economics

区域经济学是应用经济学的一个分支学科，是研究区域经济的形成发展规律和区域经济联系以及与此有关的政府决策的科学。区域经济学产生于第二次世界大战以后，作为一门新兴学科，尚未形成自己独立的学科体系，但其理论与方法发展十分迅速，在各国解决区域问题，缩小区际差异，促进区域之间协调发展方面发挥了重要作用，应用前景十分广阔。

Regional economics, a subdiscipline of applied economics, is to study the laws governing the formation and development of regional economy, regional economic relation and related government decisions. Regional economics has emerged after the Second World War. As a new discipline, its discipline system has not yet been formed, but its discipline theory and method have been obtained to develop very quickly,. It plays an important role in solving interregional problems, narrowing  interregional gap and promoting interregional coordination and development. Thus, it has a very broad prospect for its application.
